6.         Addition and subtraction to 20 without regrouping horizontal and vertical

7.         Number facts to 20

8.         One-to-one correspondence, one and many

9.         Smaller than, larger than, shorter than, greater than, less than –

measurement/capacity

10.       Geometric shapes

11.       Telling time on the hour/half hour

12.       The calendar

13.       The number line

  1. Sets

They should cover three reading books.  Various reading activities are used to encourage independent reading.

 

Composition

 

Three stages:

 

1.         Oral work

2.         Class discussion

  1. Written work – a simple sentence e.g. I have a doll etc.
  2. Simple paragraph (4 sentences) – 3rd term
